Bleh.

Molly, Walter, and I are all sick. Thats right, I said Molly... she can't stop sneezing, which is so cute, but I do feel bad for her. Needless to say, i didn't go to the gym yesterday, i came home and crashed on the couch all night to try and get better. And Molly joined me. She is such a mush when she's sick.



Breakfast was a coffee, raspberry yogurt and granola...


Snack: 2 clementines.
Lunch: Soup and salad. I drove allll the way to shop rite in the rain, to get chicken noodle soup, and do they have it? No. So I choose vegetable instead...
Dinner: More soup. French Onion. With low fat cheese. And some multigrain chips and hummus.


Today, theres a hurricane out. I guess am avoiding getting ready to drive to work in this hot mess by writing this post when I am supposed to be getting ready for work! Have a great day!

Diet Day ONE!


So, I think day one of the diet went rather well. Here's what I ate:

Breakfast: Diet sprite and a weight control oatmeal packet.
Snack: Kashi Go Lean Bar
Lunch: Can of Chickarina soup, some crackers and hummus
Dinner: Salad and Sushi :)

Thats right, of course the day I start dieting is the day of Walter and my anniversary, so we went out to dinner. (4 years - can you BELIEVE it?!?!?!?)

The sushi was great, but I am stuffed! There are some things that I know I am going to have trouble with in my diet, so I am going to set a few goals for myself this week:

  1. Drink 3 bottles (64 oz) of water a day. I have had a lot of trouble drinking water lately, and i need to drink enough to stay hydrated.
  2. Give up soda! That diet Sprite today will be my last soda for awhile...
  3. Go to the gym at least 3 times this week. Starting tomorrow :)
During my lunch break today, i went to the grocery store and bought a bunch of foods to make for lunch and dinner. I got ground turkey, lettuce, peppers, cilantro, lunchmeat, cheese, whole wheat wraps, hummus, and grilled chicken. I have some meals in mind, stay tuned to see what I end up making!

The last meal...


So usually before I am about to seriously start a diet, i always have a "last meal", and today I definitely did that. I've wanted to go to Buffalo Wild Wings for months now, and today we went, watched football, drank beer, and ate what seemed like every wing in the whole place!



After eating so many wings (and NO i didn't eat all of this myself!) I am SO ready to start eating a much healthier diet. Thanks Buffalo Wild Wings, you helped me leave my unhealthy lifestyle with a bang!

The Journey...


So here we go. I have been struggling with my weight for as long as I can remember, and I have tried every diet under the sun to loose weight. I have done Weight Watchers, crash diets, cleanses, you name it. I always push my diet and exercise plan until "tomorrow", and tomorrow never comes. My friends and boyfriend have been trying to convince me and motivate me to go to the gym, but I can't seem to find the motivation myself, and keep coming up with excuses to "wait until tomorrow". The only thing I can think of to bring me success in my weight loss goals is to have others holding me accountable for my exercise and eating habits, which is why I am starting this blog! I am going to track my meals and exercise schedule here, and hopefully it will bring me the motivation i need to do it right this time.

Goal: To loose 50 pounds by Summer 2011!

I think I am finally ready to really make a lifestyle change...
And say goodbye to this weight! Wish me luck!!!
